2. The Wiworld system will not find or lock on the satellite. |
| A |
There are a number of possibilities that could explain why the system will not find the satellite.
Satellite signal blocked: Satellite signals can be blocked or degraded by buildings, other vessels or equipment on vessel itself. Check if the antenna has a clear view of the sky. Refer to user manual, to make certain that the Wiworld unit is in the optimal location.
Outside of satellite coverage zone: Wiworld product will provide excellent reception within the antenna coverage area for your satellite TV system. The strength of satellite signal may be weak when you approach the edges of coverage zone. You want see satellite coverage maps, click on Coverage Maps.
Radar interference: Wiworld recommends that you do not mount the antenna on the same level as the radar. The signal emitted from radar might interfere with the antenna.
Incorrect or loose RF connections: As part of the regular maintenance Wiworld recommends all connections should be checked to ensure that they have not become loose. A loose RF connector can reduce signal quality. You always need to check connect ion from RF cable to Indoor Unit (IDU). Please refer to the "Connecting the Antenna RF Cable to the IDU" section of your section of user manual for more information.
Radome off: Wiworld recommends that you should keep the radome on all the times during the satellite searching or tracking mode. Direct sunlight or other weather factors may interfere with antenna tracking function.
Incorrect satellite information: Incorrect satellite information (i.e. transponder frequency, symbol rate, NID or decode method) will result the antenna tracking function failed. Satellite information may be changed from time to time due to the satellite TV program or program provider change.
If you are still having difficulties or have any questions, please contact the Wiworld technical support team by submitting a question using via e-mail at jkpark@wiworld.co.kr
Insufficient voltage: Wiworld recommends that the RF cable between antenna and Indoor Unit (IDU) should not be longer than 30-meter. Over 30-meter will result in the voltage drop and it might cause significant loss of signal gain. In order to have your antenna in normal functions, the output voltage from IDU to antenna should be at least 12V ~24V for Wiworld products.
Improper LNB Skew angle: A proper LNB skew angle is needed when an antenna locks on a linear polarization satellite. The optimal skew angle can be found by rotating LNB at tracking mode by checking signal levels at Antenna Control Unit (IDU).
* LNB failure: If you have an defected LNB, it might need to be replaced.

3. The antenna is not switching channels or satellites. |
| A |
There are a number of common issues that could cause your antenna not to switch channels or satellites.
Incorrect satellite configurations: The satellite receiver has the ability to switch satellites automatically using a satellite signal. Please ensure the satellite configuration on IDU and receiver. It must match with the satellite setting on the Wiworld product.
Incorrect or loose RF connections: As a part of the regular maintenance, Wiworld recommends all connections should be checked out to ensure that all connections are tightly secured. A loose RF connection might drop signal quality significantly. Please refer to the "User manual" for more information.
Satellite signal blocked: Satellite signals can be blocked or degraded by buildings, other vessels or equipment on vessel itself. Check to see if the antenna has a clear view of the sky. Refer to user manual, to make certain that the Wiworld product is in the optimal location.
Out of satellite coverage zone: Wiworld product will provide excellent reception within the antenna coverage area for your satellite TV system. The strength of satellite signal may be weak when you approach the edges of coverage zone. You want see satellite coverage maps, click on Coverage Maps.

9. I look at a searching for "Satellite Signal" message on TV. |
| A |
Improper LNB Skew angle: A proper LNB skew angle is needed when an antenna locks on a linear polarization satellite. The optimal skew angle can be found by rotating LNB at tracking mode by checking signal levels at Antenna Control Unit (IDU).
Incorrect satellite configurations: The satellite receiver has the ability to switch satellites automatically using a satellite signal. Please ensure the satellite configuration on IDU and receiver. It must match with the satellite setting on the Wiworld product.
Antenna powered off: The Wiworld product must be turned on for the system to work. If the system is entirely non-functional, check the switch plate's power switch or the circuit breaker to ensure that the antenna is turned on.
Antenna tracks wrong satellite: If you select a channel on the receiver, but the wrong programming or no programming appears on the TV, that channel might be carried on a different satellite from the one the antenna is currently tracking. Try switching to another satellite.
Weak satellite signal: Some satellite TV channels are transmitted at a stronger signal level than others. If you're unable to receive a clear signal on one channel, try switching to a stronger channel. Weak channels are more delicate to interference, such as rain or snow.

| Q |
10. Why do I lose some channels while I can watch other channels? |
| A |
An individual satellite has as many as 24 different transponders broadcasting different programs. These transponders typically have different power levels, so the signals from the weak transponders will frequently be lost before the signals from the stronger ones.

13. Can the Wiworld Satellite TV Antenna be used in both Asian and Europe? |
| A |
Yes. The Wiworld product for Asia and Europe may appear to be identical but there are distinct differences in hardware inside the antenna; the Low Noise Block (LNB) used to convert the satellite signal into an IF signal, located in the antenna of the satellite system is specific to the geographic location.
